It was a sunny day, another ordinary day in the city with skies full of pollution. But, for these envisioned folks things work the other way round. No day is meant to be ordinary for what they wanted to become and the sky only showered dreams wherever they wandered. They even had wings but wanted to learn flying. In a rather what i would classify as desperate attempt to fly, YSW was born. For the onlookers it was amateurish in every possible perspective but the amateurs had and till day have a strong conviction and a fire in the bellies.
The first movie that this young group of amateur film makers came up with was called '3 weeks', a short love story with a not so cliched climax. It heard applauses from all corners and the dream of these young enthusiasts now seemed within reach. One very vital piece of information here; '3 weeks' is rumored to be based on a true incident.
Like every other human, life started to take it's toll on these aspirants and they were forced to back off from their dream even after a kick start. They had to deal with their own personal and academic problems like every regular student of this day and age. The next project of their's was shelved and indefinitely.
As they say, that only when it is dark enough we can see the stars shine. The bright dawn in their life came and pretty soon. The short film making competition at the Indian Institute of Madras (IIT-M) caught their eye. The name of the event was Saarang, an annual feast of the institute. YSW was selected for making a short film based on their first movie. Mind you the competition was tough. They were given three days and the entire IIT campus to complete their project. The movie came up pretty well and if you are reading this you already know i am talking of Brb.
They fetched third prize at this national level competition which saw about 12 short movies which came from students of various cities and backgrounds. Now the TEAM YELLOW had something to bank on. They achieved national recognition afterall. After their return they already planned their future projects and calculated the ways to deal with it.
This was the flash back, now a pinch of setback as well.
The third movie of YSW was finalised and was to be shot by this weekend. However, the director of this project met with an accident just the day before yesterday. Although by God's grace he escaped unhurt with only minor injuries, it induced a delay in the proceedings. I over heard that this director is very strict with the cast and particular about their performance. I hope he recovers rapidly and YSW comes up yet again with a brand new idea to ignite and inspire the loving fans.
