The flashback and a setback

It was a sunny day, another ordinary day in the city with skies full of pollution. But, for these envisioned folks things work the other way round. No day is meant to be ordinary for what they wanted to become and the sky only showered dreams wherever they wandered. They even had wings but wanted to learn flying. In a rather what i would classify as desperate attempt to fly, YSW was born. For the onlookers it was amateurish in every possible perspective but the amateurs had and till day have a strong conviction and a fire in the bellies.

The first movie that this young group of amateur film makers came up with was called '3 weeks', a short love story with a not so cliched climax. It heard applauses from all corners and the dream of these young enthusiasts now seemed within reach. One very vital piece of information here;  '3 weeks' is rumored to be based on a true incident.

Like every other human, life started to take it's toll on these aspirants and they were forced to back off from their dream even after a kick start. They had to deal with their own personal and academic problems like every regular student of this day and age. The next project of their's was shelved and indefinitely.

As they say, that only when it is dark enough we can see the stars shine. The bright dawn in their life came and pretty soon. The short film making competition at the Indian Institute of Madras (IIT-M) caught their eye. The name of the event was Saarang, an annual feast of the institute. YSW was selected for making a short film based on their first movie. Mind you the competition was tough. They were given three days and the entire IIT campus to complete their project. The movie came up pretty well and if you are reading this you already know i am talking of Brb.

They fetched third prize at this national level competition which saw about 12 short movies which came from students of various cities and backgrounds. Now the TEAM YELLOW had something to bank on. They achieved national recognition afterall. After their return they already planned their future projects and calculated the ways to deal with it.

This was the flash back, now a pinch of setback as well.

The third movie of YSW was finalised and was to be shot by this weekend. However, the director of this project met with an accident just the day before yesterday. Although by God's grace he escaped unhurt with only minor injuries, it induced a delay in the proceedings. I over heard that this director is very strict with the cast and particular about their performance. I hope  he recovers rapidly and YSW comes up yet again with a brand new idea to ignite and inspire the loving fans.

Atlast!!!!

I've been on blogger for about 3 years now, but never really posted anything or shall i say never really wanted to. But as they say the only thing that is constant is change. So, after a rather long preparation, tiring browsing and learning the ways to deal with blogging and gathering my works written ages back i am finally in a position to make this blog open to you all. It still may be erronous but is absolutely original. I hope you all enjoy browsing through it, and i hope that no matter what i shall continue posting what all interests me and would be very glad for any comments or suggestions.
I am leaving you here with my fingers crossed and my mind thinking about the next post.

What's cooking team Yellow ?

i  just heard this fresh piece of news about YSW that they are coming soon with their new project. After a rather unexpected response for the initial movie and an acknowledgement from IIT-M for the second one, it seems team yellow is all geared up and are fast forwarding towards their third movie. I, although heard the name of their latest movie, but i'd share it after confirmation. I also learnt that there's going to be an entirely new cast and even a fresh director, and not to forget a fresh and unique plot. They must be practicing as i write this and i'll keep posting the updates as and when i get them..

NEW NOSTALGIC NOTES

Trying to understand one more vital clue,
From the vast surroundings of info as I usually do.
Unsure of what my reaction would be,
My thoughts gazed constantly at my unevenly sewn shoe.

Suddenly, my rather razor-sharp mind disallowed thoughts to be fetched,
As I was left wondering why I pleasantly suffered
Even, when I accessed so many clues classically etched.

Swiftly then, I discovered doom as it stalked.
Grunting grisly as I ran and it smoothly walked.
An introspection steadily then to me occurred,
Defreezing my breathing corpse as my sight blurred.

With that sense of nausea I plunged.
Plunged into an ocean of opinions, bubble sized
And in those micro units of time I pondered.

What is darkness? Absence of light?
Is cold lack of heat?
What is silence? Absence of noise?
Is foolishness lack of intellect?
What is hate? Absence of love?
Is a straight line lack of curves?
What is dread? Absence of courage?
Is inability lack of knack?

I can’t decide. I am more than moron!
But I heard a resonation suggesting it’s a matter of perception.
Like white comes to light only after VIBGYOR amalgamation,
One may call it impure, the other a perfect unision.

   {* AIM 2 DREAM ó DREAM 2 ACHIEVE}

They come they go,
What’s with dreams have you ever tried to know?
They only are an enactment of our minds show!

Our mind, but is a permit less traveler,
That admires wandering all over,
But solace it could forego never.

Dreams often lead to a brand new way,
A way where mind is free to swing and sway,
Ready to define a day as night or a night as day.

Our mind constantly endeavors to succeed,
All it demands is the count to exceed,
Jostling to go any farther to accomplish the need.

But dreams I say cater to all our needs,
Endlessly attempting to renovate our deeds,
Nevertheless! Our mind rarely succeeds.

Something to learn from

A gr8 Management lesson

Consider the below described situation and introspect how, in case you were one of them would react.
There is a room with eight equi-intelligent monkeys. Right in the centre of that room there is steel ladder like that in a ladder match of wrestling (It's only for a better insight, i don't fancy WWE). This ladder however leads to a bunch of bananas hanging from a hook on the ceiling like a brief case of that match.

Here's the interesting part. Each time a monkey tries to climb the ladder, all the monkeys are sprayed with ice water, which makes them miserable.Soon enough, whenever a monkey attempts to climb the ladder, all of the other monkeys, not wanting to be sprayed, set upon him and beat him up.

Soon, none of the eight monkeys ever attempts to climb the ladder. One of the original monkeys is then removed, and a new monkey is put in the room. Seeing the bananas and the ladder, he wonders why none of the other monkeys are doing the obvious. But undaunted, he immediately begins to climb the ladder.

All the other monkeys fall upon him and beat him silly. He has no idea why.  However, he no longer attempts to climb the ladder. A second original monkey  is removed and replaced. The newcomer again attempts to climb the ladder, but all the other monkeys hammer the crap out of him. This includes the previous new monkey, who, grateful that he's not on the receiving end this time, participates in the beating because all the other monkeys are doing it.

However, he has no idea why he's attacking the new monkey. One by one, all the original monkeys are replaced. Eight new monkeys are now in the room. None of them have ever been sprayed by ice water. None of them attempt to climb the ladder. All of them will enthusiastically beat up any new monkey who tries, without having any idea why.

This is how it seems companies get their policies established.
